Coronavirus Update: Countries with travel restrictions on Philippines

This is the latest list of Countries that has imposed travel restrictions for Filipinos and those who recently travelled to the Philippines according to the Department of Foreign Affairs.

1. SAUDI ARABIA

Holders of tourist visas and entry visas for the purpose of umrah from high risk countries including the Philippines are not allowed to enter the kingdom. However, those who hold visas for employment, work visit, business visit, and family visit are still allowed entry into Saudi Arabia, according DFA Assistant Secretary Ed MeƱez.

2. KUWAIT

The Kuwaiti Government has temporarily suspended flights between the Gulf state and 7 countries, including the Philippines for a week beginning on March 6, 2020.

3. COOK ISLANDS

All visitors from virus-hit countries within the past 14 days are no longer allowed entry to this country in the South Pacific Ocean. The travel ban is subject to a weekly review.

4. QATAR

The government of Qatar has imposed restrictions for all travellers who visited virus-infected countries in the last 14 days starting on March 9, 2020.

5. ISRAEL AND PALESTINE

All tourists going into the West Bank, including Bethlehem and Jericho are banned. Meanwhile, the Israeli government has restricted all travel to Bethlehem from Israel.

6. NEPAL

Effective March 7, 2020, the country has suspended the grant of Visa on arrival for all tourists.

7. FIJI

All cruise ships entering Fijian waters will be required to berth at ports in Suva or Lautoka and all passengers will undergo medical and travel history checks.

8. SEYCHELLES

Ships carrying passengers from COVID-hit countries within the last 14 days are banned from entering Seychelles waters.
