Sun Shimura is a Filipino politician. He is currently serving as mayor of Daanbantayan, a municipality of Cebu Province, Philippines. In the May 13, 2019 election, he ran for mayor under the National Unity Party (NUP) and defeated Dano Gullem of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC) Party. He ran for re-election under 1Cebu and again won over Dano Gullem who was the candidate of PPP.
