Edgar Mary Sarmiento is a Filipino engineer and politician. He is currently the congressman of the first legislative district of Samar Province in Eastern Visayas Region or Region 8. Running as a reelectionist under the Liberal Party in the May 13, 2019 elections, he defeated Jimboy Stephenson Tan of the ruling PDP-Laban Party.
