Pila is a predominantly agricultural town where rice, vegetables, chicken, egg, pork, and fish are the main products. Cottage industries include the production of home-made foodstuff and baked goodies, furniture and vehicle repair, and tailoring. The town has been a traditional location for pilgrimage and movie production due to the presence of heritage houses and centuries-old church.
