This is Miss Hnin Thway Yu Aung. She will represent Myanmar (Burma) at the Miss Universe Pageant to be held on December 17, 2018. The specific venue for the 67th Miss U competition will be at the Impact Auditorium in Nonthaburi, an adjacent province to the north of Bangkok, Thailand.
Hnin Thway was born in 1996 in the State of Shan but in the national pageant, she represented the region of Bago. Still a nursing student at Kyaing Tung University, she can speak English and Thai in addition to her native Burmese Language. She stands 1.68 m (5 ft 6 in). After she won the Miss Universe Myanmar crown in 2017, she was heavily criticized for her not-so-tall height as well as her not-so-clear stand on women’s rights. Nevertheless, she vowed to train hard to bring home the Miss Universe crown.
