Pattani Province is one of the provinces in the southern region of Thailand. It is bounded on the north and east by the Gulf of Thailand, on the south by the provinces of Narathiwat and Yala, and on the west by Songkhla.
Located 1,056 kilometers south of Bangkok, Pattani Province has a total land area of 1,940.4 km2 and an estimated population of more than 686,000 in 2015. Topography consists of wide coastal plains with mountains in the south.
