Ronnie Liang started his career in the entertainment industry in 2005 when he joined the singing competition Pinoy Pop Superstar of GMA Network. Although he did not win, he continued to pursue a career in singing and acting. He participated in the TV5 reality show Pinoy Dream Academy and finished second runner up. Since then, his career slowly took off as he appeared in several television programs in ABS-CBN, GMA and TV5.
