History of Itogon

The town of Itogon was created on May 15, 1951.

Economy of Itogon

Itogon is an agricultural town where vegetables and fruits are the major products. It is also one of the oldest mining towns in the Philippines where gold, copper and silver are produced.

The town of Itogon is home to Binga Dam, one of the oldest hydroelectric plants in the country.
