History of Sison

The town of Sison was established on December 14, 1862. It was previously called Alava but it was later renamed Sison in honor of Don Perfecto Sison, the first provincial governor of Pangasinan.

Economy of Sison

Sison is an agricultural town where rice and corn are the major products.

Northern Cement is the only large industrial company operating in Sison.
