History of Agoo
Before the coming of the Spaniards, Agoo was already a thriving community with a Japanese port used for international trading. The Franciscan Missionaries established Spanish settlement on December 8, 1578, making the town of Agoo one of the oldest parishes in the region. Later, the Augustinians took over the administration of the pueblo.
