History of Abra de Ilog

The town of Abra de Ilog (literally means opening of river) was formally organized in 1902 by the American authorities with Rosaleo Miciano as the first mayor.

Economy of Abra de Ilog

Abra de Ilog is primarily an agricultural town. Rice, corn and fish are the main products.

The town has a seaport and it is considered the gateway to Occidental Mindoro from Luzon Island.
