History of Baungon

In 1939, the town of Baungon had a total population of 2,345 and increased to 3,927 in 1948. In the census of 2015, the town registered 34,336 residents.

Economy of Baungon

Baungon is an agricultural town. It is one of the country’s top producers of corn with more than 7,000 hectares planted to it. Other products include rice, vegetables and hogs.
