History of Tacurong
Tacurong was organized as a municipality on August 3, 1951 by virtue of Executive Order Number 462 issued by the President Elpidio Quirino. It was formerly a territory of Buluan municipality.
On August 16, 2000, Tacurong was elevated as a city after Republic Act 8805 was ratified.
