Edgardo Cobangbang Jr. is a Filipino politician. He is currently serving as mayor of Cabugao, a municipality of Ilocos Sur Province in northwestern Luzon, Philippines.

In the May 13, 2019 election, Edgardo Cobangbang Jr. ran under the local party Bileg Ti Ilocano and won over Deogracias Jose Victorino Savellano of the Nacionalista Party (NP).

Controversies
In 2010, direct assault charge was leveled against Mayor Edgardo Cobangbang by a Barangay Captain Angeles Savellano but the case was dismissed in 2017.

In 2013, two murder raps were filed against him for being the alleged mastermind in the killing Jimmy Boy Galicinao and Conrada Sumibcay. The case is still pending.
