In the May 13, 2019 election, she ran for mayor under the banner of Liberal Party (LP) and won over Emmanuel Alfelor Jr. of the ruling PDP-Laban Party. He ran for congress to represent the fifth district in the May 9, 2022 under the Liberal Party (LP) but lost to incumbent Governor Migz Villafuerte.
