Reclining Buddha

The Reclining Buddha is found inside Wat Pho in the old part of Bangkok near the Grand Palace. Its length is 151 feet or 46 meters long and it is made of brick, plaster, and gold leaf. The feet is decorated with mother-of-pearls. The face looks serene but actually, the Buddha is not relaxing. It symbolizes his arrival in Nirvana – a state of complete awareness.
