Singing Career
After her unsuccessful participation in the 2016 edition of Tawag ng Tanghalan singing competition, Ryssi Avila started uploading her musical performances on her social media accounts. Some of her posts went viral.
On July 9, 2022, Ryssi Avila auditioned at Idol Philippines where she sang Alipin by Shamrock. All the four judges namely Gary Valenciano, Moira de la Torre, Regine Velasquez, and Chito Miranda were impressed. Moira de la Torre asked her to sing her original composition and she delivered Matsala which she claimed was based on experience during her lowest moments. After her performance, Moira gave her the platinum award which would allow her to directly advance to the solo round of the Theater Rounds.
