Controversies
Jinggoy Estrada was arrested on June 23, 2014 after the Department of Justice filed a plunder case against him in connection with the pork barrel scam where public funds were allegedly channeled to non-governmental organizations linked to Janet Lim Napoles. He was detained at the Philippine National Police Custodial Center in Camp Crame, Quezon City. On September 16, 2017, he was temporarily released after the Sandiganbayan anti-graft court granted bail.
