History of Tubod

The town of Tubod was established on October 17, 1946.

On February 3, 1982, the capital o Lanao del Norte was transferred from Iligan City to Tubod.

Economy of Tubod

Tubod is an agricultural town where rice, corn, banana, coconut and fish are the major products. Being the capital town, it is home to many commercial and financial establishments.

The town of Tubod has a seaport and it is the gateway to Misamis Occidental Province. When the Panguil Bridge is completed, it is expected to drive up the growth of the town.
