Because Jesus himself was tested through what he suffered,
he is able to help those who are being tested.

Suffering is part of human life. No one is immune to it. Even the Buddhists acknowledge it as the first of four noble truths: life is full of sufferings.
For those us who believe in Jesus Christ as Son of God and Savior of the world, we know that He endured the greatest sufferings even death on a cross. For this reason alone, we can derive strength to go on our journey.
But there is more to it than knowing that He too suffered. The scripture tells us He is more than able to help us in our test because He himself underwent suffering. We know the miracles He performed. We hear His promises to those who love Him and obey His commandments. He is the Emmanuel, the God who is with us. We are never alone!
