History of Looc

Looc was established as a municipality in 1913. In 1903, Looc registered a population of 2,575 which increased to 4,299 in 1948. It is the hometown of the Mendiola political family of Occidental Mindoro.

Looc is primarily an agricultural town. Rice and fish are the main products.
