Melvin K. Vargas Jr. is a Filipino politician. He is currently serving as vice governor of Cagayan Province in Cagayan Valley Region or Region 2, Northern Luzon, Philippines. Running under the banner of United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) Party in the May 13, 2019 election, he won over independent candidates Ignacio Taruc and Leonides Fausto of the Nacionalista Party (NP).
In the 2022 elections, Melvin K. Vargas Jr. won over Aj Ponce of the NPC, Francisco Mamba III of NP, and Perla Tumaliuan of PFP.
