Rodante Marcoleta is a Filipino lawyer and politician. He is currently serving as a congressman who won as nominee of Social Amelioration & Genuine Intervention on Poverty (SAGIP) Partylist in the May 13, 2019 election. In 2010, he was the nominee of Ang Alagad, a partylist backed up by the Iglesia Ni Cristo religious group.
On May 26, 2020, Representative Marcoleta was selected to give the opening speech against the franchise hearing of ABS-CBN where he listed several violations of the media giant. During the subsequent hearings conducted by the House of Representatives Legislative Committee, he actively spoke against the granting a new franchise for the media company. He even suggested the seizure by the government of the properties of the media company.
In 2017, he earned the ire of many netizens for initiating a motion in congress to give the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) a budget of only 1,000 pesos.

With the ABS_CBN franchise hearing, Rep. Marcoleta is brilliant. He is articulate both in English and Tagalog. He has full grasped of the issue and done his research well prior to hearing. The people of Paniqui, Tarlac are lucky and blessed to have him as their representative.
