In the May 13, 2019 election, she ran for congress under the ruling PDP-Laban Party and defeated incumbent congressman Renato Unico Jr. of the National Unity Party (NUP) and independent candidate Philip Emmanuel Peñaflor. In 2022, she ran for re-election under the same party and won over Dr. Cathy Barcelona-Reyes of the National Unity Party (NUP).
