He ran for re-election in the May 9, 2022 elections under the local Kambilan Party and defeated former Candaba Mayor Danilo Baylon of the Liberal Party.

In the May 13, 2019 election, Dennis Pineda ran under Kambilan Party and easily beat then Bacolor Mayor Jomar Hizon.
