Wat Sothorn Wararam in Chachoengsao

Wat Sothorn Wararam Worawihan is a one of the most beautiful Buddhist temples in Chachoengsao province, Thailand. It is one of the tourist attractions of the province. Many devoted Buddhists come here to pay respect to the ‘Luangpho Phuttha Sothon’, the sacred Buddha image that is housed in this temple. The image, Sitting in meditation, measures 1.48 metres high with a lap width of 1.65 metres.

Originally called Wat Hong, Wat Sothorn Wararam was built during the reign of King Narai the Great in the Ayutthaya Kingdom.
