Trang Province: Profile, Tourist Spots

Trang Province is one of the provinces in the southern region of Thailand. It is bounded on the north by Krabi and Nakhon Si Thammarat, on the east by Phatthalung, on the south by Satun, and on the west by the Andaman Sea.

Located 839 kilometers south of Bangkok, Trang Province has a total land area of 4,917.5 km2 and an estimated population of more than 638,000 in 2015. Topography consists of coastal plains, a wide valley, and mountains in the east and west. The province is a major producer of rubber. In fact, it was in this province where the first rubber plant was planted.
