Narathiwat Province: Profile, Tourist Spots

Narathiwat Province is one of the provinces in the southern region of Thailand. It is bounded on the north by Pattani, on the east by the Gulf of Thailand, on the south by Malaysia, and on the west by Yala Province.

Located 1,140 kilometers south of Bangkok, Narathiwat Province has a total land area of 4,475.0 km2 and an estimated population of more than 774,000 in 2015. Topography consists of wide coastal plains, valleys, and mountains in the western part of the province. The Bang Nara is the main river and enters the Gulf of Thailand.
