Chainat Profile: Tourist Spots

Chainat Province is one of the provinces in the central region of Thailand is Chainat. It is bounded on the northeast by Nakhon Sawan, on the southeast by Sing Buri, on the south by Suphan Buri, and on the northwest by Uthai Thani.

Located 199 kilometers north of Bangkok, Chainat Province hs a total area of 2,470 kmĀ² and an estimated population of more than 332,000 in 2015. Topography consists of flat land drained by the mighty Chao Praya River. The first dam, part of the Greater Chao Phraya Project, was constructed here in 1957 and was the first dam constructed in Thailand. Rice faming is done throughout the province.
